Dr. Jeff Scholten is owner and co-clinic director of The Vital PostureTM Clinic. He serves as President of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) and the Upper Cervical Health Centers Inc. (UCHC), is Vice President of the Upper Cervical Research Foundation (Canada) (UCRF(C)), and is a member of the board of directors of both the International Chiropractic Association’s Council on Upper Cervical Care (ICA-CUCC) and the Upper Cervical Research Foundation (UCRF). As a consultant, Dr. Scholten regularly works with individual chiropractors and chiropractic organizations on strategic planning and procedural development.

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary (BSc, Kinesiology) he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his this time, Jeff was inducted into the Vogt Society as recognition for exemplary personal leadership, was awarded with a Certificate of Recognition for Extraordinary Personal Action from the American Red Cross, received a Certificate of Merit from NUCCA for his research and another for his role as an Anatomy Teaching Assistant, and earned a membership in Pi Tau Delta, an International Chiropractic Honor Society as a recognition of superior academic achievement, as well as a Jimmy Condon Athletic Scholarship to reward athletic and academic excellence.

Dr. Jeff Scholten is a Board Certified Diplomate in Chiropractic Craniocervical Junction Procedures and a Fellow in Chiropractic Craniocervical Junction Procedures. He was honored to be recognized as the Upper Cervical Chiropractor of the Year in 2015 by the International Chiropractic Association’s Council on Upper Cervical Care. A published researcher, Dr. Scholten’s research interests lie in practice-based patient outcome evaluations and investigating the relationship between the neck and the jaw.

On a personal note, the significant health benefits experienced by many family members through NUCCA care led Dr. Scholten to enter this field of study. Whether sipping wine in the shadows of the Eiffel Tower or eating dim sum in Hong Kong, Jeff, Kira, and their two children enjoy traveling together in their leisure time to exciting destinations experiencing different cultures and sampling the local cuisine.
